Frequently Asked Questions

What is the technical difficulty level of the Grizzly Off-Road course?

Are there specific race categories for different skill levels?

Yes, the event features a range of categories to accommodate everyone from elite endurance professionals to competitive amateurs. Please check the official event website to identify which category best aligns with your current racing license and performance goals.

What equipment and tire recommendations do you suggest for this terrain?

Given the rugged nature of the Big Bear trails, we highly recommend a well-maintained full-suspension mountain bike equipped with durable, high-volume tires featuring aggressive side knobs. Ensure your tubeless setup is dialed in to prevent flats on sharp, rocky sections of the course.

Where is the best place for spectators to view the race?

Spectators are encouraged to congregate near the start-finish line area to catch the high-energy atmosphere and witness the final sprint finishes. For those willing to hike, several vantage points along the course offer great views of the action, but please remain clear of the trail at all times to ensure rider safety.

How are the podium ceremonies organized?

Podium ceremonies take place shortly after the top finishers in each category have crossed the line and results are verified. We celebrate the top performers with awards, so please listen for announcements regarding timing at the main event stage.

What is the field size limit for this event?

To maintain a high-quality racing experience and manage trail impact, the field size is capped for each category. We recommend registering early to secure your spot in this premier endurance suffer-fest.
