Experience the Big Woods at the CAMBA South Women's Mountain Bike Weekend

Unleash Your Potential on Hayward's Finest Singletrack

Get ready to immerse yourself in the heart of northern Wisconsin's legendary trail system. The CAMBA South Women's Mountain Bike Weekend is designed for riders who want to trade hesitation for confidence and technical mastery. Set against the backdrop of the "Big Woods Endless Trails" in the Hayward and Cable area, this weekend is less about counting miles and more about perfecting the art of the ride. Whether you are swinging a leg over a mountain bike for the first time or you are a seasoned shredder looking to clean that one technical rock garden, this clinic provides the professional instruction and supportive environment needed to level up your game.

The weekend is defined by camaraderie and a shared passion for the dirt. Instruction is led by regional certified coaches who specialize in breaking down complex movements into manageable skills. You will join a community of women mountain bikers who value progress over ego, all while exploring the lush, rolling terrain that makes the CAMBA trails a premier Midwest destination. From the smell of the pine forest to the sound of tires gripping the hero dirt, every moment is crafted to connect you deeper with nature and your bike.

Course Description

The clinic takes place on the southern cluster of the CAMBA (Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association) trail system. These trails are renowned for their variety, offering a mix of classic "old school" narrow singletrack and modern flow sections. Because this event is a skills-focused clinic, the "course" consists of specific trail segments chosen by coaches to highlight particular technical features.

Skill Level	Trail Focus	Terrain Features
Beginner	Foundational Singletrack	Gentle rollers, wide turns, and basic obstacle clearing.
Intermediate	Technical Progression	Roots, tighter switchbacks, and varying elevation changes.
Advanced	Mastery & Flow	Rock gardens, steep climbs, and high-speed cornering techniques.

Event Highlights

Big Woods Scenery - Ride through some of the most beautiful and dense forest terrain in the Midwest, known for its glacial topography.
Skill-First Philosophy - The clinic prioritizes "sessioning" features - repeating sections to gain mastery - rather than just riding through them.
Women-Led Community - Connect with other female riders over the age of sixteen in an empowering, ego-free atmosphere.
Post-Ride Vibes - Enjoy the local Hayward culture and the sense of accomplishment that comes from a day spent conquering new trail challenges.
Expert Troubleshooting - Get tips on bike setup, tire pressure, and suspension tuning from experts who know the local trail conditions.
