Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of bike and tire setup do I need for the Bohemian Alps gravel?

A gravel or cyclocross bike is recommended for the best experience on these mixed-surface roads. We suggest running tubeless tires at least 38mm-42mm wide to handle the varied terrain, steep hills, and occasional loose gravel sections comfortably.

How does the clover-leaf route structure work for riders and the relay team?

The course is designed as three unique 40-mile loops that all start and finish at the central hub at Czechland Lake. Solo riders will complete all three loops, while relay teams can divide the labor, with each of the three team members tackling one loop before passing the torch.

What can I expect at the aid stations during the challenge?

Since the course returns to Czechland Lake between each loop, you will have consistent access to your support crew and our central aid station. We provide hydration and fuel to keep you moving, but we always encourage riders to carry their own nutritional essentials for the road.

Is this event suitable for riders of all skill levels?

The Dozinky Doozy is a challenging endurance event, but we welcome riders of all levels who are prepared for the distance. Whether you are aiming for a personal best or simply want to finish and enjoy the scenic Platte River valley, bring your adventurous spirit and be ready for a rewarding day in the saddle.

What happens after the ride concludes at Czechland Lake?

We believe the best part of any gravel event is the post-ride community! Once you cross the finish line, join us at the hub to celebrate your accomplishment, share stories from the course, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow riders as we reap what we sowed together.

Where can I find the latest information on logistics and registration?
