Frequently Asked Questions

What is the technical difficulty of the Monday Lick Enduro trails?

Expect a mix of raw, backcountry singletrack featuring rock gardens, root sections, and steep descents. While the trails are designed for intermediate to expert riders, we recommend pre-riding the stages to familiarize yourself with the technical features.

How does the elevation profile look for this event?

Riders will face significant climbing throughout the weekend to reach the start of each timed stage. Prepare your legs for sustained, rugged climbs followed by high-speed, gravity-fed descents through the West Virginia wilderness.

What type of mountain bike is best suited for these trails?

A modern trail or enduro bike with at least 140mm-160mm of travel is highly recommended to handle the diverse terrain. Ensure your bike is in top condition, with durable tires capable of gripping loose, natural trail surfaces.

Are there specific gear requirements for race day?

Safety is our top priority, so a full-face helmet is strongly encouraged and may be required for timed stages. Riders should also carry a hydration pack, a basic trail-side repair kit, and enough nutrition to sustain them through long days in the woods.

What should I know about parking and spectator access?

Parking is limited at the trailhead, so please follow all posted signage and event staff instructions upon arrival. While some trail sections are accessible, spectators should respect the environment and stay clear of the active race course at all times.

Where can I find the most up-to-date schedule and course maps?

Check the official event website for the latest details regarding stage maps, start times, and any course adjustments. We post final updates there as we get closer to the event weekend to ensure everyone is prepared for the conditions.
