What kind of bike setup is best for these trails?

A modern mountain bike is essential to handle the terrain. We recommend:

A well-maintained suspension setup to soak up the roots.

The course utilizes the natural topography of the Chapel Hill area, featuring short, punchy climbs that will keep your heart rate up. While it is not a high-altitude event, the constant undulations mean you will be working hard to maintain momentum throughout the ride.
