Is this event suitable for first-time endurance riders?

Yes—the flat, low-traffic course design makes it accessible for riders building endurance miles, while the time-trial format allows you to ride at your own pace. Start with the 100-Mile or 6-Hour format to gauge your capabilities, then progress to longer events as your ultracycling fitness develops.

What should I know about the start intervals and timing technology?

As a time-trial endurance event, individual start times and accurate lap tracking are critical to your performance. For specific details on staggered start intervals, timing chip procedures, and how your individual effort will be recorded, check the event website or contact the organizers directly.

Are there any equipment restrictions or recommendations?

The event welcomes all bike types and categories, so road bikes, gravel bikes, and other setups are permitted. For extended endurance riding in South Georgia's late-summer conditions, ensure your bike is well-maintained, bring adequate hydration and nutrition support, and verify any specific UCI or event-sanctioned equipment rules by visiting the registration page.
