Known as the "most beautiful road race in the state," this event challenges cyclists with self-supported racing across dramatic mountain passes and glacier-filled valleys to support youth cycling in Alaska.

Designed exclusively for the dedicated time trialist and the disciplined triathlete, this event strips away the peloton and leaves you with nothing but your machine, your fitness, and the road ahead.  Located in the stark, breathtaking landscape of Chickaloon, this is where you come to benchmark your performance against the clock and the elements.

Course Description & Highlights

The course traverses the Glenn and Richardson Highways, offering spectacular views of the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.
  • Mountain Vistas: Riders will see the massive peaks of Mount Sanford, Mount Drum, and Mount Blackburn.
  • Major Climbs: The route includes approximately 14,000 to 28,000 feet of total elevation gain, depending on the distance.
  • The Final Challenge: A signature 2,000–3,000 ft climb up Thompson Pass before a massive descent into the finish at Valdez.
  • Finish Line: All races conclude in Valdez at the Goldfields Softball Complex.
