Link ITT & TTT

Set against the stark, scenic backdrop of the Sonoran Desert, the Link ITT & TTT is a "race against the clock" where performance is measured purely by power and aerodynamics. Unlike traditional road races with a peloton, riders in the Individual Time Trial (ITT) depart at regular intervals, fighting the wind alone to post the fastest time. The Team Time Trial (TTT) adds a layer of complex strategy, as small squads of riders must coordinate their efforts, drafting inches from each other to maintain maximum velocity.

 

The course on Park Link Drive is known for its long, flat stretches and "smooth pavement," allowing for high-speed efforts that test a rider's sustained threshold power. It provides a rigorous physical challenge where, as some participants describe, the "muscles don't burn" initially but the sheer intensity makes it impossible to go any faster.
