About This Event
One of the most hallowed races in the western US. Inspired by the real ‘Queen of the Classics’, the French race that goes from Paris to Roubaix. It also serves at the Colorado State Road Race Championships. Only members holding an annual license residing in Colorado are eligible for the championship title.

- Location: Boulder Reservoir, 5275 Reservoir Rd, Boulder, CO 80301.
- Registration: Online pre-registration is available via BikeReg, closing April 20, 2026. Race day registration opens at 7:00 AM (cash only, +$10 fee) and closes 45 minutes before each field's start.
- Participation: Open to various categories, from Pro/Elite to beginners (Cat 5) and juniors as young as 9.
Course Description
A recent edition introduces a significantly updated 30-mile (48.3 km) circuit that moves the start/finish line to the Boulder Reservoir.
- Mixed Terrain: The loop consists of approximately 61% unpaved/dirt roads and 39% paved roads.
- Key Features: Winding curves, rolling hills, and scenic views characterize the route. New sections include a challenging stretch over the Boulder Reservoir dams and along the Boulder Feeder Canal leading to the final sprint.
- Race Distances: Pro Men complete 3 laps (approx. 90 miles), while Pro Women complete 2 laps (approx. 60 miles).

- State Championships: The race serves as the official Colorado State Road Race Championship. Only Colorado residents with an annual USAC license are eligible for the championship title.
- Beginner Friendly: "Newbie" Cat 5 races are available for first-time racers, with waves for Senior Men, Masters Men, and Women.
- Atmosphere: Known for its "spring classic" vibe, the race often faces unpredictable Rocky Mountain weather, ranging from smooth, fast roads to slippery, rutted mud.
- Neutral Support: Mechanical support is unlikely and based on volunteer availability; participants are strongly advised to bring their own pump, spare tubes, and perform a "bolt check" before starting.
- Amenities: The main building at the reservoir provides restrooms and showers. Entry to the reservoir is free before 9:00 AM, with a small fee thereafter.
