The Red Clay Ramble is a premier gravel cycling event and a "southeastern original," recognized as one of the first gravel races established in the South. This race is part of the Small Town Gravel Series hosted by Chainbuster Racing.

Event Details
- Location: Monticello Baptist Church, 334 W Greene St, Monticello, GA 31064.
- Registration: Fees are approximately $90.00 for both long and short courses across most categories.
- Race Day Schedule:
- 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM: Check-in, packet pickup, and onsite registration.
- 8:45 AM: Mandatory racer meeting at the start line.
- 9:00 AM: Long Course race start.
- 9:15 AM: Short Course race start.
Course Descriptions
The event recently moved to a new course and venue in Monticello to provide a "Small Town Gravel" experience while avoiding congested areas.
- Terrain: Expect rolling hills on hard-packed red clay roads typical of Georgia's Piedmont region. The course is known for being "wicked fast" but includes many small, punchy "power climbs".
- Long Course: Approximately 65 miles (104 km) with roughly 3,493 feet of elevation gain.
- Short Course: Approximately 29 miles (46 km) with roughly 1,608 feet of elevation gain.
- Surface: Mixed-surface loop consisting primarily of red clay and gravel with some paved sections.
Race Categories
The Red Clay Ramble features a wide range of competitive and non-competitive categories for both distances:
- Standard: Open (Male, Female, Coed), Masters (40-49), Grand Masters (50-59), Ultra Masters (60+), and Hero (70+).
- Specialty: Single Speed (Coed), Clydesdale (200+ lb Male), Athena (200+ lb Female), and Junior.
- Modern: e-Bike (Coed) and Para-cyclist.
