Autobahn Omnium

Event Details

• Location: Autobahn Country Club, 3795 Center Point Way, Joliet, IL 60436.
• Registration: Total event limit of 1,000 registrants. Online registration typically closes a few days before the event.
• Omnium Format: Unlike track omniums, this road-based event features multiple disciplines over two days. Riders compete for points in each race, with an overall winner crowned based on cumulative standings.
• Lodging: Discounted rates are often available through the Autobahn Country Club website.

Course & Event Schedule

• Saturday Morning (Time Trial): Typically a "Merckx Style" Individual Time Trial (no aero bars or disc wheels) on a portion of the track.
• Saturday Afternoon (Circuit Race): A mass-start circuit race held on the Full Course, which is 3.56 miles long with a mix of fast straights and 21 technical turns.
• Sunday (Criterium): High-speed criterium racing on one of the smaller track configurations, such as the North Circuit (1.46 miles) or South Circuit (2.1 miles).

Race Categories

• Men: Pro/1/2/3, Category 3/4, Category 4/5.
• Women: Pro/1/2/3, Category 4/5.
• Masters: 40+, 50+, and sometimes 60+.
• Juniors: Dedicated Omnium and Criterium categories for younger racers.
