Take a Lap At the Winterraden MTB Race
Take a lap at the Winterraden MTB Race in Middleboro, Massachusetts, through a Le Mans start and battle through short, technical laps to kick off the race season! 🚴♂️🔥 This exciting mountain bike race featured a Le Mans-style start for both sport and expert classes, adding an extra challenge right from the beginning. The course is around a mile per lap, packed with technical features, fast corners, and tough terrain - a perfect early-season test to see where your fitness and skills stand.
What To Expect
Past Winterräden events have popped up across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, taking over trail systems and private land and turning them into fast, rowdy, laugh-out-loud courses. Expect short loops, multiple laps, and a mix of natural trail and hand-built features—skinnies, bridges, rollers, and winter-only madness—all with ride-arounds so everyone can send it at their own comfort level.
This isn’t just about racing. Winterräden brings the noise. Heckle zones. Cowbells. Music. Friends yelling your name while you question your life choices mid-lap. When allowed, there’s food, adult beverages, fire pits, and a full-on festival vibe that keeps riders hanging around long after the finish line.
The event is professionally run, fully insured, and registered through BikeReg, with capped fields, signed waivers, and course builds that can be fully temporary or lightly permanent depending on the venue. We work closely with landowners to respect the trails, protect the property, and leave things better than we found them.
At the end of the day, Winterräden is about riding bikes when you’re told not to. High-fiving strangers in the cold, it's a keg party in the woods but the cops aren't chasing anyone out, and proving that winter doesn’t end the season—it makes it better.
