The Tommyknocker 10 is designed as an intermediate course, making it ideal for riders with solid trail experience who are ready to challenge themselves. The 13+ mile loop features manageable terrain with less than 1000 feet of elevation gain, so you'll experience flow and fun without extreme technical exposure or brutal climbing.

You'll ride through beautiful grassland sections surrounded by towering juniper and cottonwood trees, enjoy sweeping mountain and meadow views, and navigate fun stream crossings that add adventure without excessive difficulty. The Tommyknocker 10 is dedicated to Alex Olsen and Martyn Pearson, two giants of the Silver City community who passed away in October 2022. Alex and Martyn owned Gila Hike and Bike, coached local high school cycling teams, and were deeply involved with Zia Rides. By participating, you're helping keep their legacy and passion for cycling alive in the community.

In 2023, the Tommyknocker 10 officially moved to Historic Ford Bayard with support from the Village of Santa Clara and the USFS. The new venue features improved facilities and a refined course layout that makes this a much better experience than previous years - it's a great start to the Zia Rides season.
