Abilene Bent Wheel Bash

The event features competitive road racing across Cat 1, 2, and 3 divisions with staggered starts throughout the day. Each category races on the same course with its own results, awards, and timing - so you'll compete against riders at your skill level.

Registration closes 30 minutes prior to the start of each category, so you'll need to be registered before your race begins. Check the event website for the latest details on registration options and to confirm your category's start time.

Yes - Cat 1 and 2 racers have access to a neutral feed zone located on the police academy side of the fence right after you come through and head toward the finish line for your next lap. Volunteers will hand out water bottles as you prepare for each subsequent lap. If you prefer to use your own water bottles, you're welcome to bring them.

Registration includes a $10 land use fee per racer that covers the entire weekend - you only pay it once even if you race multiple days. Spectators do NOT have to pay a land use fee and can watch for free. If you're camping, camping fees are $20 per spot for one night or $30 for two nights - pay cash at the gate.

Awards will start as soon as results are finalized for each category, so everyone can head home at a reasonable time. If you're racing Cat 3, stick around for the raffle - there are some cool prizes available, including a larger prize at the end that everyone is eligible for. You must be present to win any raffle prize.

Bring your bike in race-ready condition, helmet, cycling kit, and any personal nutrition or hydration you prefer - though Cat 1 and 2 racers will have neutral feed zone support available. If you're camping, bring your gear and plan to pay the camping fee in cash at the gate. Check the event website for course-specific details like terrain and any gear recommendations.
