About This Event
The Lone Star Gravity Series Chainless Championship is a unique, high-stakes mountain bike event that tests conservation of momentum and bike handling. Held at Spider Mountain in Burnet, Texas, this event kicks off a weekend of gravity racing in the Texas Hill Country. The hallmark of the "Chainless" format is that mechanics will physically remove participants' chains before their timed run. Without the ability to pedal, riders must rely entirely on gravity, cornering technique, and "pumping" the terrain to maintain speed down the mountain.

Lift-Served Access Downhill Riders use Texas' only year-round chairlift to reach the summit.
The Run Gravity-Focused A single, timed run down a designated trail (typically a blue or black-rated flow line).
Technical Features Rocks & Berms Includes the park's signature limestone rock gardens and high-walled berms.
The Momentum Test Flow Sections Success depends on "pumping" through rollers and maintaining speed through turns.
