The race begins in downtown Piedmont, AL, and quickly transitions into the "postcard-worthy" terrain of the Talladega National Forest.

The Terrain: Expect a mix of rolling hills, scenic cascading streams, and raw, rugged gravel.
Key Challenges: The route features significant elevation, including the formidable Dugger Mountain.
The Finish: After conquering the climbs, riders enjoy a "full gas" 13-mile return section, often utilizing the Chief Ladiga Trail to sprint back into town.

Distances & Categories

Long Course (approx. 60 miles): A relentless journey that crosses into Georgia before returning to Piedmont.
Short Course (approx. 30–32 miles): Don't let the distance fool you; short-course riders must tackle Dugger Mountain twice.
