Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of bike and tires should I bring for the Hazel Valley Rally?

Given the rugged nature of the Boston Mountain Range, a gravel bike with at least 38mm to 42mm tires is highly recommended for comfort and control. Ensure your bike is in top mechanical shape, as the mixed-surface terrain features plenty of loose gravel and steep, challenging sections.

Is this event suitable for riders of all skill levels?

The Hazel Valley Rally is an adventurous, timed event that rewards grit and preparation. While the community atmosphere is inclusive, the course is physically demanding, so riders should be comfortable with long distances and significant climbing in a remote forest setting.

What can I expect at the aid stations along the course?

We provide well-stocked aid stations to keep you fueled and hydrated throughout your ride. Check the event website for the latest details on station locations and the specific nutrition or hydration products that will be available.

Are spectators welcome at the start and finish line?

Absolutely! We love having a cheering squad at the Hazel Valley Ranch. Friends and family are encouraged to join the post-race after-party to celebrate the finishers, enjoy the community vibe, and cheer on the podium awards.

What should I know about parking and logistics for race day?

Parking is managed at the ranch, but space can be limited. Please arrive early, follow the directions of our volunteers, and check the event website closer to the date for any specific parking instructions or arrival protocols.
